The third book left us thinking: what, how, why? 

We do not know what's going on or what is going to happen next.

Everything is up in the air.

The fourth book was a pleasant surprise. Morgan is a strong character and not gullible so she chased the truth. 

The fourth book made cringe and nervous.

Cal, how could you do this?

psychotic magical asshole how could you?

 You love morgan in a very twisted way. You hurt her and me as a reader. Not cool, not cool.
